Breda has won the title “Smartest City” of the Netherlands smartest projects category with the project “Robbie Rat and Waterakkers”, by the jury decision as well as the audience votes.
In the Robbie the Rat project a new technology is exploited by small electronic transmitters and receivers and using social media to monitor the water flow. The project is a good example of co-creation between government, business and education.
